Smelly Yeti Review

So, I have literally had this package for a really long time, but then finals got in the way, and now I finally have time to review a rather amazing company!

Sadly, I will have to take a little break after this post because I am going down to Panama for a week to visit with family, and they don't have wifi.

A little preface to this whole review first. I placed my order back towards the beginning of November, and I didn't get any sort of notification for a couple of weeks for shipping, and then stuck with shipping label created for a while. I ended up emailing Abigail a couple days before Black Friday (I know I am a big douchenozzle), and she was really great at getting back to me even though I was bothering her before a big sale. She said that there were issues with her supplier, and offered to throw in an extra free sample for the long wait. When I opened up my package she graciously included a sample of Supermom! It's little things like these that make me wanna stay with indie makeup forever.

Now, onto the review!

Buffybot
With slightly singed wire, motor oil, ozone, and a smooth metallic finish, this perfume calls to mind warm electronics. Subtle and slightly sweet, this perfume is just strong enough to get people slightly worried that the robot uprising is upon us. Just slightly worried. And, you know, sometimes you just want to smell like a robot. A slightly malfunctioning, overly peppy robot.

Bottle: The smell kind of reminds me of my dad after he has been working on his motorcycle. It leaves a bit of a metallic taste in my mouth, but not really in the bad way. I don't have an expert nose or anything, but I can for sure smell that smooth metallic finish.

Skin: This scent takes on a warmer smell on my skin. I can start to pick out notes a little bit better now. There is an acidic scent to it, which might be the motor oil. This isn't one I would wear everyday, but I really like it.

Captain Peroxide
Spike. Dirty leather coat, smoky tobacco, bleached hair, with a soft spot for a certain slayer. He may act tough, but at the heart of it all he's a marshmallow. Red Egyptian musk gives it a smooth finish and a distinctive bloody coloring. This is the scent that has it all. Sweet but dingy. Smoky and sexy. This perfume is practically bottled pheromones.

Bottle: I really do like this scent in the bottle. It kind of smells like scotch with a hint of something sweet, like not sugary sweet, more like a honeyish scent. Honey like the sound of Spike's voice. Mmm...

Skin: The scent becomes more leathery when I put it on, and the sweet scent becomes sharper. Overall, the perfume becomes a bit darker, and more masculine when I put it on. This will be good for days when I wanna smell kind of badass.

Not The Bees!
It might actually be more accurate to call this "Yes The Bees" because this perfume is a lovely sweet confection of candied honey and honeysuckle, punctuated by citrus and underscored with smooth vanilla. Nicolas Cage screams not included.

Bottle: YES THE BEES PLS. My mother and I both agree that this is the best smelling one, and she normally hates perfume so this was a big win!

Skin: This smells even better on my skin! I'm planning on getting a full size of this with my next order. It smells sweet, but not overly sweet, and is a great everyday scent.

Ouran
Roses. Bulgarian roses. English roses. Rosehip jasmine, pikake flower, and yuzu. Basically, FLOWERS. Plus, a hint of the tropical flavor that signifies the mark of a true silly anime - the token beach episode.

Bottle: One of my favorite scents from what I got! It has a nice rosy scent on it, and it does not smell artificial like some of the other rosy scents I have tried before from major companies!

Skin: Roses, and more roses. This is more of a fancy scent, and I've been trying to wear it more, but I like it a lot. The combination of the flowers is just right for me, and not a single flower scent is overpowering another in my opinion.

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster
According to Douglas Adams, this drink feels a bit like getting your head smashed by a slice of lemon wrapped around a gold brick. While it doesn’t have Fallian marsh gas going through it, our version is a striking citrus mint cocktail with a powerful sparkling punch. Unisex.

Bottle: I honestly don't know how I feel about this scent. If I quickly sniff the bottle, it smells like soap, but then if I take a big inhale, and really think about it, I can smell the lemony carbonation. It could just be my untrained nose, but I only sort of liked this one.

Skin: Curse you skin chemistry!! I wanted this one to work so badly, but it ended up going pure soap on my skin. I tried wearing it to school one day, but it did not turn out so well, and I ended up having to scrub it off. Oh well, this is why sample packs are great!

Queen of the Damned
Drusilla, Spike’s sometimes-paramour, wanderer of graveyards, makes for an enchanting and unconventional floral scent. Among the more traditional bouquet of roses is a mélange of darker, cooler notes of cabbage, cedarwood, tuberose moss, dewy grass, and damp earth. The overall effect is one of flowers in a graveyard. Feminine.

Bottle: The smell kind of reminds me of cilantro. Like when I first smelled it I instantly thought Cilantro!! I love the scent of that, and then it has a nice sweet rose after scent.

Skin: Well, I never thought I would see the day where I say I like the smell of dirt, but today seems to be that day. This is a wonderful complex scent that compliments my typically dreary outfits, but has that rose scent which gives it a bit of a fancy scent.

Supermom
Sweet and simple, warm and comforting, it's a mug of hot chocolate, the brim overflowing with mini marshmallows. Folded underneath the sweet and subtle cocoa is a hint of caffeine and a smothering of sticky benzoin. Feminine.

Bottle: BAKED GOODS??? YES! This was my favorite of the bunch by far! It smells so nice and cookie-ish, and I never knew I needed this kind of smell in my life!

Skin: This one is amazing on my skin. It is a bit too sweet for everyday, but I honestly love it so much! It turns very hot chocolate on my skin, but there is a bit of a spice to it, which might be the caffeine. I always get complimented when I wear this one to school.

Sizing Pictures:
I have issues with picturing the sizes of bottles, so I took some pictures of the sample size bottles for those like me that have issues comparing/visualizing sizes.
I had to put in the little lid art b/c it's super cute

Overall:
I love everything I got, and it was an overall success in terms of scents! I am already planning my next order, but that won't be for a while because of the great post-holiday no-buy (more than likely gonna be a low-buy because I can't resist).
